Servings 0
Ingredients
- 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 Tbsps unsalted butter, sliced
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder, sprinkles, coconut shreds, for topping
Instructions
- In a microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate morsels and heavy cream. Microwave in 10-second intervals until the chocolate begins to melt, being careful not to burn the mixture.
- Add slices of butter, and stir until melted into the chocolate the mixture is completely smooth. Microwave a few seconds at a time if you need.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Cover the chocolate mixture with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about an hour or until the chocolate has set up.
- When chocolate has cooled and set up, remove plastic wrap. Use a small spoon to scoop even amounts of chocolate and roll into balls about an inch or so in diameter. Roll each ball into the coatings of your choice, like cocoa powder, sprinkles, or coconut flakes. Try not to over-handle truffles when forming to prevent melting.
- Serve truffles in mini cupcake liners if desired.
